ParkinWalkParkinWalk – AI-Based Gait Analysis & Freeze of Gait Detection
Sensor-based AI and computer vision for continuous gait monitoring, freeze of gait detection, and mobility assistance for Parkinson's patients.

Official Project Mark
German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action
Medical AI & Sensor Fusion Research Initiative

Duration: 12 Months
1 Partner
Universities, Industry & Research Centers
Project Description & Objectives
ParkinWalk focuses on AI-driven gait analysis and real-time detection of Freezing of Gait (FoG) events in patients with Parkinson's disease.
By combining wearable sensor arrays, computer vision video analytics, and deep learning algorithms, ParkinWalk provides clinicians and patients with objective, continuous quantitative mobility metrics.
The system assists patients in maintaining independence and reducing fall risks through timely auditory and haptic cueing signals.
Petanux Specific Project Responsibilities
- •Kinematic motion tracking & gait analysis algorithm engineering
- •Real-time Freezing of Gait (FoG) detection neural model development
- •Wearable movement telemetry & clinical sensor fusion integration
